Step 6 of 6

A Limit Before the Shorelines Visit

The last of the six steps is the one to take first, at home, before leaving for Shorelines Casino Peterborough. It sets a cap on money and on time, and the planner below turns them into a pace per hour.

  • We built the planner to run inside the browser, so nothing you type is kept or sent anywhere.
  • The planner divides your money by your hours to give a pace per hour, and it predicts no result of any kind.

Money and time, decided at home

Two numbers come before the trip: the money you can afford to lose, and the hours you plan to stay. Decide both at home, away from the floor. Bring that amount and no more, so the cash you carry is the limit itself. Plan the breaks too, and take them off the gaming floor. When either the money or the time runs out, the visit ends.

At a slot machine, a Great Canadian Rewards member inserts the card. How it works at the live tables in Peterborough is not published. A card in the machine is not a reason to stay past the limit or play longer.

Self-exclusion and the card

A person on a My PlayBreak break may not enter any Ontario casino, Fisher Drive included, and the break cannot be shortened. The card has its own rule: members must be 19 or older, and self-excluded or trespassed people are not eligible.

Online play sits under a separate scheme. BetGuard, at betguard.ca, opts a person out of every regulated gambling website in Ontario, OLG.ca included. It does not reach land-based casinos; My PlayBreak covers those.

Can a My PlayBreak break end early?

A My PlayBreak break cannot be shortened. It runs for the full term chosen: 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years.

Can BetGuard keep someone out of Fisher Drive?

BetGuard has no reach into land-based casinos, which means the casino on Fisher Drive falls outside it. What it does is exclude a person from all regulated gambling websites in Ontario, OLG.ca among them. At the casino itself, the programme to use is My PlayBreak.
